About CarPedia
CarPedia is an independent car resource built for UK drivers. Our mission is simple: every car, covered A to Z — honest reviews, full specifications, real parts prices in pounds, and practical buying guides written in plain English.
What you will find here
- Car reviews — structured, comparable reviews of popular UK models, new and classic: driving experience, practicality, running costs and verdicts.
- Full specifications — engine, performance, economy, dimensions, boot space and more, compiled from manufacturer data and trusted sources.
- Common parts & UK prices — typical replacement parts with guide prices in GBP, so you can budget for ownership, not just the purchase.
- Free tools — True Cost Calculator (5-year ownership cost), Smart Car Finder, finance and fuel-cost calculators, and side-by-side comparisons.
- News & buying guides — new launches and plain-English guides to help you choose with confidence.
How we research
Every car page follows the same template so you can compare like with like. Specifications are compiled from manufacturer-published data and reputable motoring sources; where figures vary (for example between trim levels or test cycles such as WLTP), we show the most representative figure and say so. Prices are guide prices in GBP — always confirm with the seller or supplier before buying. If you spot an error, tell us and we will correct it.
Our independence
We are not a car dealer and we do not sell cars. Our content is written to help drivers make better decisions — not to push particular models. In future we may show advertising (for example Google AdSense) to keep the site free; advertising will always be clearly distinguishable from our editorial content, and it never influences our reviews or ratings.
Who is behind CarPedia?
CarPedia is run by a small UK-focused motoring team who believe buying and owning a car should be transparent. We combine structured data (specs, prices) with practical guidance, and we keep improving the site based on reader feedback.
